YOUR DATA & CHOICES
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This policy covers threetakes.ai, published as Three Takes. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@threetakes.ai.
1. What is active today
You can read our news without an account. We use Cloudflare to host and protect the service, a browser identifier for reader votes, and audience measurement only when you opt in. Google AdSense and other advertising trackers are not currently enabled. Email signup is not currently offered.
2. Votes and browser storage
Voting sets a first-party cookie named tt_reader, containing a random browser identifier with a 30-day lifetime. We store the identifier alongside the article, your current vote and an update time. It is not linked to an email address. Click your selected vote again to remove it, or choose another view to change it. Vote records remain until removed or no longer needed for the voting feature; cookie expiry alone does not delete stored votes.
Your measurement preference is saved in browser local storage as tt_metrics until you change it or clear site data. Blocking or clearing storage may reset preferences and affect vote recognition.
3. Optional audience measurement
The control below this page lets you opt in or turn measurement off. When enabled, we use the random browser identifier to count daily visits and interactions, such as votes, and estimate return visits within seven days. These records are pseudonymous: they distinguish a browser without identifying you by name. This measurement does not record article-level reading histories.
Records are removed after 35 days by scheduled cleanup. Turning measurement off stops future events; existing records follow that retention period. This choice is separate from any future advertising consent.
4. Hosting, security and service providers
Cloudflare processes network and technical information, including IP addresses and request details, to deliver and secure the site. Our abuse controls store a daily hash of a network address and request counts with short expiry, generally up to a day. Raw IP addresses are not stored in our voting or subscriber tables. Providers may retain operational logs under their own policies.
Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives technical information needed to deliver them, such as your IP address and browser request. See Google Fonts privacy information and Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Linked publishers and other websites have their own privacy practices.
Providers may process information outside your country. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service guarantees absolute security. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect the service and its users. If you email us, we use your address and message to respond and retain correspondence as needed to handle your request and applicable obligations.
5. Email, if introduced
Our prepared newsletter integration uses Resend, but subscriptions are currently unavailable. If introduced, we will request your email and confirmation before sending a briefing, record consent and subscription status, and include an unsubscribe link. Pending signups would be removed after seven days; unsubscribed addresses would be retained as suppression records to prevent further delivery. We do not currently use email open-tracking pixels. We will update this policy when the service launches.
6. Future Google advertising
We may introduce Google AdSense or other clearly identified advertising. Before activating it, we will update this policy with the actual providers and supply the required consent and privacy controls. The following describes planned use, not currently active advertising.
If enabled, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies, identifiers, web beacons and information such as IP addresses to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud, and, where permitted, personalize advertising based on visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies may let Google and its partners show ads based on browsing across sites.
Manage Google personalized advertising in My Ad Center, learn how Google uses information from partner sites, and explore participating vendors’ choices at YourAdChoices. These choices do not necessarily remove all ads or storage. Non-personalized ads can still use cookies for measurement, frequency limits and fraud prevention.
Where required, advertising technology will depend on consent through a suitable consent-management platform. Our optional measurement control is not an advertising consent tool. We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Your choices and rights
You can decline or turn off optional measurement, remove your votes, and clear browser storage. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, object to or restrict processing, and complain to your local privacy regulator. Rights and exceptions depend on applicable law. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Email hello@threetakes.ai to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify it; do not send passwords or sensitive identity documents unsolicited. Because votes and metrics use a random identifier, we may not be able to locate them from your email alone.
The site is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek children’s personal information; contact us if you believe a child has provided it.
8. Changes
We will update the date above when this policy changes and provide further notice or request consent when required. See our Terms of Service for content-use rules.
